Troubleshooting Deployment Failures

Deployment could fail due to various reasons, such as:

  • Incorrect parameters input
  • Insufficient account permissions to deploy managed applications (Managed Application Contributor Role)
  • Non-available resources on Azure region
  • Issues with Subscription Quota limits
  • Miscellaneous errors.

To get Lightbits support for deployment failures, it is suggested to collect:

  • Deployment input and output configuration

    • Go to Managed App Resource > Parameters and Outputs menu.
    • Add screenshots of the parameters and outputs to the ticket.
    • Go to Managed App Resource > Properties.
    • Add the parameter json file to the ticket.
  • Region - to determine the Region where the cluster was deployed in.

  • Error message - screenshots or copy/paste of root stack > Parameters tabs.

    • Option #1: In the deployment screen, click the error details, copy the details, and add them to the ticket.
    • Option #2: Go to the managed application, and click Managed Resource Group > Deployments menu.
    • On your screen, you will see the resources that failed to create.
    • Click the error details, copy the details, and add them to the ticket.

This is the kind of initial debug information that will assist Lightbits Support in analyzing your deployment issue.
