VCP Plugin Overview

The Lightbits VCP integrates into the VMware vCenter environment. The VCP is used to enable and simplify access to block storage over the NVMe/TCP protocol - to ESXi hosts in the same vCenter environment.

The Lightbits VCP is fully compatible with VMware’s remote plugin architecture.

The VCP is composed of several containers:

• MongoDB.
• Admin portal (listening on port 443).
• vSphere remote plugin (listening on port 8443, and reachable via the vSphere client UI).
• Prometheus (for collecting statistics from Lightbits clusters).
• A setup container.
