PoV Introduction

This PoV Self-Driving guide assumes that you have been provided with an installed and deployed Lightbits cluster, or are working with an already installed and operational Lightbits cluster.

The topics in this guide will detail the day-to-day operations of Lightbits.

You should familiarize yourself with the contents of this guide, as some of the material will be a good reference for how to operate the cluster and get familiar with all of the best features provided by the Lightbits platform..

Lightbits Setup Example

  • 3x storage servers (three failure domains)

  • 8*16TB = 128 Terabyte

  • 2x bare-metal clients

  • RHL 8/9 based distributions

  • Kernel 5.16 with NVME/TCP support

  • Monitoring metrics with Prometheus and Grafana installed

  • http://localhost:9090 - Prometheus

  • http://localhost:3000 - Grafana

  • user: admin / password: foobar

  • Inside Grafana there should be two dashboards:

    • cluster_tab - showing information about the cluster.
    • nodes_tab - showing information per node.
  • 1x 25/100GbE switch
